Mentioned him many times on the (ahem) other side. I hadn't heard of him until around 1998, about year after his passing. A mate said "you have to listen to this guy", and he subsequently lent me the CD of 'Grace'. Buckley is a Marmite artist, and at first I just didn't understand my mates enthusiasm for Buckley.
After the third listen it was like a switch had been turned 'on'. I have most of Buckley's albums, all but 'Grace' was released after his demise.
The Leonard Cohen cover of Hallelujah is IMHO the one of the finest cover version I've heard. The emotion in Buckley's voice is so powerful.

Other than the track you mentioned, I never really heard much of his stuff until I did a show at Cranage Hall last year - the distributor I was working with played a couple of tracks (I forget the names), and they were far better than I expected them to be based on Hallelujah.
Bought the album after that and now resides on my Innuos - the CD lives at work.

A little side story to add to Buckley.
A few years ago my daughter sang in her school choir. The school, amongst other from around the country, were asked to perform at the O2 Arena in London. All the ticket money went to children's charities. Anyway, that's by the by...
They had a guest singer who was Alexandra Burke. They sang Hallelujah with the children harmonizing. After the track finished, we couldn't see a dry eye in the place, including males.
There are great songs, but there are GREAT songs like Leonard Cohen's masterpiece. I suppose the baggage of Buckley's history that added to the occasion.
Unforgettable experience.

The girlfriend’s daughter sang Hallelujah at a talent contest at a holiday resort last year - and won. I think there were a few tears in the audience on that occasion too!

“Lilac Wine” - the other standout track from Grace is a great test song for any hiring system. I happen to know it is/was used extensively also by the reviewers from the other forum soon to be no more...

It just shows the emotion he put into his singing.
I've also got a box set of Jeff's father, Tim. Not as good as Jeff IMHO, but the DNA is clear to hear.

The track liked at the show was ‘Lover, You Should’ve Come Over’. The main reason I bought the album.

Or I had- may have been used as a drinks coaster! I recall it was a bit odd on the one occasion I put it on. Perhaps I should have given it a bit more time? Will have a rummage through the CD wallet at some point and see if it is in there. Think it's a gonner though!

Some of his stuff was a bit 'out there'.
