Just got back from seeing this at the cinema.
I do live Brad Bird’s MI movies, particularly the first one, which was more spy/espionage verses the action laden follow ups. But this new instalment, in my opinion, is the best yet.
It seems as though each new MI film has come up with increasingly crazier stunts than the last in order to be bigger and better, and this one is no different. But the whole film looks and feels better crafted than previous ones, and it really feels like the MI franchise has matured into something pretty serious, and a reference for action movies to come.
I’d highly recommend seeing this at the cinema rather than at home - big screen, big sound - allowing a full appreciation of just how well crafted this episode is. Two and a half hours long, and not a single dull moment.
9/10

Saw this on Tuesday and wholeheartedly agree with you - definitely the best of the franchise so far and definitely worth seeing on a big screen with big sound.
Did you go to see it on the IMAX version in the end?

I didn’t in the end, as the screenings were a little late for me to attend and get my last train home.

I saw it a couple of weeks ago and agree, Cinema is the best place to view but I'll probably get the 4K when it comes out as I'll want to watch the film again.
