I know some of use will use a number of different sources, but which digital source do you mainly use? Are you still prefer physical media like CD? Have you stored your CDs on a NAS drive or media server like an Innuos? Or do you mainly use online streaming services such as Spotify, TIDAL, or Qobuz? Only one can be chosen as I'm interested in the main source you use. Add your answer to the poll

It would be interesting also for people to post what actual equipment they are using. I use iDevices (various phones, iPads, Macs) to stream Apple Music to an AEXpress which handles DAC duties, before going into the back of my Cyrus.
My listening is probably around 75% digital, 23% vinyl, and 2% CD - if that.
CDs still sound very good, but if I'm going to go to the effort of putting on a CD, I might as well put on a record!

Any other votes will be appreciated - I do have a genuine reason for asking - something I’m toying with at the moment

As of right now my main source is my venerable CD player, I've got a NAS which I accessed with a Sonos ZP90 and a Play 5, but they've been quite unreliable for a while so I've more or less given up on them. I'm sure I've got the necessary skills to work out what's going wrong but I just don't currently have the time or inclination to expend any energy trying to work it out, maybe one day...

I’ve got a innuos zenith Mark 2 and it’s easily the best digital source I’ve ever had. A streamer , cd ripper and tidal etc streamer. I’ve had streamers from cyrus, sonos, bluesound, and Cambridge Audio and have tried an AURALiC Aries le too with linear psu. The zenith was tried with a chord DAVE dac too I borrowed and it shows itself as a non digital sounding, smooth and detailed source which is very unusual. It calls into question the need for a CD player anymore.

ZENith Mk2 here too Once I heard the difference between the ZEN and the ZENith, I had to go for the ZENith - for the reason you mentioned. And one of my comments about it once I got it home was whether high end CD players are now relevant. I obviously avoided hearing the ZENith SE!

I do like to have a physical copy of the music I play. I have a large collection of vinyl and CDs but I also stream music via Spotify. Generally if I find a band or artist I really like I will buy a CD or if they are available an LP.
I find streaming really useful but get a little frustrated getting the computer to start up and all the Windows updates so often I use my tablet to stream.
I would not want to be without my CD player (Marantz SA8005) as it has excellent connectivity, I stream to it via a CCA, and plug the computer into it via to USB connection. Interestingly I found that if I streamed the computer to the CCA the sound quality was really harsh and tinny. But don't have the same issue with the tablet or phone.

Sorry to be a little dim anta - and hello btw - but, at the risk of giving me a face, palm, slap moment, what's a CCA?
