As I post on numerous forums, I see many posts asking advice about cables - analogue, digital, mains, etc. These threads usually descend into farce, name calling, insults, and end up helping no one at all. I just want to assure anyone posting on this forum that any posts about cables will be met with serious answers. They may not be scientific answers, but they'll be based on my experiences and findings, good or bad. I don’t mind someone expressing their opinion - and that only needs expressing once in any thread - but anyone joining the forum purely with the intention to thread spoil any cable threads will be banned, or at least banned from the cable threads. If someone wants to know which cable to try, I'm going to recommend one, maybe two, and it's then up to the poster to go and try them out. Cables will not be forced onto people on this forum, but recommendations will be made when asked for. If a member believes cables make no difference, feel free to post once and say so. It is then up to the OP whether to ask more regarding that outlook or move on. Anyone who is still scared to post up and ask cable advice (including those on other forums) can email me directly at david@thelittleaudio.company I don't want to ban people - this is a friendly place - but any behaviour like I have seen on some forums will meet with consequences. Keep it friendly

Happy with my cables all round: Merlin Chopin, Atlas speaker cables, Chord Crimson.

Did you try a number of cables out PP, or just go for something of quality?

Chopins I purchased at hi-fi show circa 2008, and I've others like really old Chord stuff. Atlas speaker cable was recommended by Cnoevil, which replaced Chord SilverScreen.
My local dealer did ask me once if I'd like to home trial TQ black. I declined the offer. I've no real appetite for any future faffing with cables. In isolation they sound absolutely fine. If it ain't broke... you know my philosophy, David.

Understandable. I tend not to do listening sessions on cables, particularly quick A/B listens - I listen to the system, the music. Over days/weeks, you get a good or bad feeling as to whether a cable is bringing something to a system or not, and whether it’s worth investing in or not.

I’ve tried chord and had very good results. Epic twin speaker, epic reference speaker, signature XLR tuned Aray between pre and power amps. The other day someone leant me some van den hull rca interconnects between my chord qutest and cyrus dac xp signature and that was very rounded and smooth. I’m using chord c usb between the Qutest and my innuos zenith mark 2 but I tried Shawline usb and it was a bit better. I’m using cheap atlas rca cables between my Qutest and Innuos atm which need changing,

If you ever want to try anything and I’ve got it handy, you’re more than welcome.
