Hi,
I was hoping to get a little advice. My amp is a Yamaha from about 25 years ago with a couple of Teac bookshelf speakers. From the right side I am getting a lot of white noise even with no input. The amp has A and B speaker outputs and both are affected. It also happens when I switch the speakers (ie it is independent of speaker in the output). Is there any way to fix this? Is the amp knackered on the right hand side? Is this something I can fix myself?
Many thanks for any guidance!
Dom

Apologies Dom for not noticing this post! I'll see if I can set up an email service for any posts made in future! I'll answer anyway just in case anyone else finds themselves in a similar situation. Only 3 months late I would get it looked at by an engineer. Bear in mind though that many might charge £30/40 an hour for labor, which will include fault finding. Depending on the amplifier, you may or may not see this as worth while.
